We have so enjoyed helping the mamas who have entrusted us, and brought us onto their team! We have been up and going for about two weeks now, and we feel privileged and honored to be a part of "shaping healthy futures, one mama at a time." As Mia Mama Fitness is getting off the ground, we need to spread the word that this new and specialized fitness option is available to women in their childbearing years! We did conduct a survey as part of our market research before starting classes. Several questions were asked on the survey, one being "are you currently exercising on a regular basis?" The majority were a "no", and that is where we are seeking to assist a change. We know from the same survey that the majority of women who are pregnant or post partum know exercise is important and beneficial, but for various reasons are not doing it. One reason is feeling self conscious attending mainstream fitness classes, or facilities. Another area of concern is wondering what can be done safely, but will still yield results. Our time as mothers is precious and you want to know that the time you set aside for exercise is well spent in a safe, AND effective workout. This is what Mia Mama Fitness was founded to do!
Instead of wandering into a general population gym or class and feeling lost and out of place, imagine walking into a class where there are other women at various points of motherhood that you know and have forged friendships with. An instructor is also there who is warm and friendly, possessing special training and experience that can help guide you through a safe and effective workout tailored just for you. Instead of a one size fits all approach that is often found in other settings, you are designed and tailored a class that fits you; taking into account your current fitness level, and your point along the motherhood journey. This is now a real option that women can take advantage of. Let's get the word out ladies!
